Michael has spent his whole life working with dirt and what grows in it! Turf is his passion and came about from the family farm at a very early age. Michael’s father, Jim, has been growing turf since 1988 for the wholesale market in the fertile Hawkesbury Valley region, renowned for high quality turf rolls. Since then, the turf industry has evolved in those 20 years, from a product that was just a luxury to something that is a necessity! In 2007 Michael, alongside his brother Jonathan, launched Rivers Edge Turf, taking their quality products direct to market. This fundamentally changed the wholesale turf farm into a diverse business, catering to every market including wholesale, commercial, trade and residential. Over the years the year the quality of workmanship has improved and now is second to none. Growing and installing quality products such as Sapphire Soft Leaf Buffalo, Nara Zoysia, Santa Ana Couch, Kikuyu and many more varieties. The team at Rivers Edge Turf have selected quality turf varieties which cater for the local environment and perform all over the state. Michaels team transports turf all the way up the Hunter region, Sydney and into the Illawarra regions. Covering such a large area has its challenges, but it is an everyday task for the team and their reputation is built on quality and freshness for optimal results for their clients and end users. Under Michael’s direction Rivers Edge Turf have successfully completed a range of major projects ranging from boutique 30 square metre backyards to 60 000 square metre major sporting facilities including:
